The programs and language institutions listed below are currently on probation with CEA. Per the CEA Policies and Procedures Section 12: Advisory and Adverse Actions, a program or institution placed on probation continues in accredited status. However, probation is a serious status which endangers accreditation. Each accredited program or institution on probationary status receives a letter which specifies the areas of noncompliance and date of the next Commission review. Sites subject to a probation action must provide a response by stated deadlines.

Programs and institutions on probation lose voting privileges in the Constituent Council. Programs and institutions on probation must notify students and the public of their probationary status within seven days of notification by CEA.
