2025 Call for Nominations
Each March, the Nominating Committee begins the process of identifying candidates for future Commission service. CEA is seeking four volunteers to serve on the Commission three-year terms from January 2026 to December 2028. The 2025 Call for Nominations has been published, and applications are due July 1, 2025. 

CEA at TESOL2025
If you are attending the TESOL 2025 International Convention & Expo in Long Beach, CA, March 18-21, we would love to see you at the CEA-related sessions on Wednesday, 3/19, 12pm: “Supporting Post-Secondary English Language Programs: Advocacy and Collaboration Across Stakeholders” and Friday, 3/21, 8am: “PD in Postsecondary English Language Programs: An Accreditor’s Perspective”.

CEA staff will deliver an in-person accreditation workshop prior to the conference. 

April 2025 Upcoming Reviews
Programs and institutions up for review at the April 2025 meeting of the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation are posted on the Upcoming Reviews page. Comments about upcoming reviews are accepted as described on the website, and decisions will be announced within 30 days of the meeting. 

Save the date: 2025 Constituent Council meeting
The 2024 Constituent Council meeting will be held on Friday, June 6, 12:00 noon – 1:30 PM Eastern Time. The agenda and connection information will be issued no later than 30 days before the meeting as required by the CEA Policies and Procedures. The role of each accredited site’s primary contact is described in Section 19: Constituent Council Governing Rules. 

Digital certificates
Beginning in 2025, CEA will begin issuing verifiable digital certificates for all accredited programs and institutions. These digital certificates will replace paper certificates that had been issued by the CEA office. Each site’s primary contact will receive access information and instructions for use of the digital certificates as they are rolled out.
