Policies and Procedures

CEA conducts its accreditation procedures using policies and procedures defined by the U.S. Department of Education and widely accepted as best practice by the field of accreditation.

The first document below includes the policies and procedures by which CEA operates and explains the various steps in the CEA accreditation process.  The second document gives additional and/or amended procedures that apply to English language programs and institutions outside the United States.

CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority on the quality of instruction and services provided by accredited English language programs and institutions.
